I love a good smoothie, especially one that not only gives me energy but also helps the body to burn fat. This choc mocha smoothie recipe comes straight out of my latest F.I.T. phase 3 program and tastes absolutely delicious. It's great to have as a snack either pre or post workout. The caffiene from the coffee helps boost your metabolism and burn fat whilst also giving you a great energy kick. It's also packed with protein to help you feel full and aid in recovery post a sweaty gym session. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that the raw cacao makes it taste just like a delicious iced mocha you get at a cafe.
1/2 cup of coffee, brewed and cooled down
1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop (30g/1.1 oz.) of natural protein powder of your choice (chocolate or vanilla also works)
1/2 tbsp. of raw cacao
Stevia, to sweeten
5-6 ice cubes
1. Place all ingredients, but the ice in a blender.
2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
3. Add ice cubes and blend again.
4. Pour smoothie in a tall glass.
