Trail Mix - Nuts and seeds are a great way to curb those cravings whilst injecting some low GI energy into your system. Different trail mix’s are available in most supermarkets and health food stores, or you can even create your own. I prefer more nuts and seeds than dried fruits, I like to buy a combination of sunflower seeds, papita seeds, unsalted almonds, walnuts and a small amount of organic dried apple. Yummy!
Avocado and carrot stick dippers - If you don’t have time to make something fancy, or you simply have to eat something right this minute, then opting for a ripe avocado and carrot stick dippers is both delicious and satisfying. Simply cut the avocado in half, remove the seed and use your carrot sticks to scoop out avocado and eat! Who needs fancy dips!?
Peanut butter on celery or tomato strips - This might not be to everyone’s tastes, however peanut butter will definitely curb your hunger cravings and provide you with energy, plus it tastes great on celery sticks or tomato segments! Don’t believe me? Try it out for yourself!
Banana and almonds - Sounds simple? Often when people get hungry they overlook the nutritional and satisfying value of a fresh piece of fruit. Bananas provide low GI carbohydrates as well as a myriad of other nutrients which makes them a fave fruit in the fitness community.
