Having goals, especially those related to improving your fitness, is a really healthy way of encouraging positive progress in your life. However, it is one thing to have a goal, and another thing to actually start working towards it.

Everyone is capable of coming up with excuses as to why they have not yet started working towards achieving their goals, however more often than not these excuses are merely obstacles that need to be worked around.

In the end it comes down to one simple thing: How much do you want it?

Ask yourself, ‘Do I really want this? Am I willing to work for it?” If the answer is yes, then you can work around almost any obstacle. If it is a time thing, adjust your sleeping patterns to make more time. If it is a motivational issue, then work out ways in which you can inspire yourself. If finances seem to be holding you back, then consider other options that will help you gain the same results. You are capable of achieving your goals, as long as you stop looking at the problems, and start considering the solutions!

One of the main setbacks that people find when it comes to achieving their fitness goals, is not setting an achievable plan of action. Giving yourself a realistic time frame, a structured plan to follow and setting milestones to achieve along the way are all ways to help support you as you work towards achieving your goals.

The only person who can really stand in your way in relation to achieving your goals is you. So if you want it, go get it!
