‘Bingo wings’, ‘buffalo wings’ and ‘bat wings’, are just some of the weird and wonderful names out there, used to describe the flesh of the upper arm when it has become flabby. If this is something you can relate to, then perhaps it is time to arm yourself!

These following 5 steps, are really all that is needed to help you to carve your own sleek, toned, sexy arms!

  1. Firstly be aware of your diet - If you are eating a diet rich in calories that you are not burning off (such as a high sugar and saturated fats diet), then your body will end up storing this unused energy as fat. This means if you are prone to wobbly arms, this is one of the places your body stores your fat. Try to eat a balanced diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits and healthy protein sources and avoid chowing down on too many simple carbs.
  2. Use your arms more - Okay, this might seem a little silly because of course we use our arms everyday. However it is becoming easier and easier to avoid using them. So next time you are doing a small shop, why not opt for a basket instead of a trolley? Or instead of using the elevator to make it easier with your bags, opt for the stairs and carry them (this will work your butt and legs too!). When we think about it, there are many ways in which we can use our arms more instead of opting for the easier option.
  3. Get your heart rate up - Regular cardio exercise is an excellent way to burn through calories. If you are really focused on toning your arms and getting rid of the extra wobble, then try to make time for some cardio every day. Even 20 minutes of huffing and puffing will help!
  4. Pump it - The only real way you are going to get your arms defined is by making them work for it! So incorporate some resistance exercises that focus on your arms. Remember not to just focus on your biceps though, it is actually your tricep area that is the major culprit when it comes to those buffalo wing’’ arms! Use exercises that target all the muscles of your arms to ensure you get an overall toned effect. Unfortunately once a week won’t cut it, so if you are serious about working toning your arms, then incorporate an arm workout at least 3 times per week.
  5. Bronze for definition - If you have a special event coming up and you really want to wear that strapless dress and look amazing, then consider using a little bronzer on your arms. Colour always has a slimming effects and can also help enhance your definition.
