Going booze free? Try these magnificent mocktail recipes

Spring has sprung, and with it comes the boost in social events and gatherings. Not a big drinker, or cutting down on the booze? Not to worry, there are so many delicious mocktail recipes you can try that are not only nutritious and delicious, they also seriously look the part!

The Green Dream

This fresh tasting mocktail is light and refreshing. Perfect for a sunny Spring day!

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup Mineral water
  • 1/2 small lime, juiced
  • 5 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 Tbsp. Peeled and chopped cucumber
  • 1 Tsp. Maple syrup

Method:

  1. Muddle the cucumber and basil together in your cocktail shaker
  2. The add the lime juice and maple syrup, mixing together before adding the mineral water.
  3. Shake lightly before pouring over ice in a glass. Garnish with a slice of cucumber or some baby basil leaves.
  4. Enjoy!

Raspberry & Melon Daiquiri

This fruity cocktail is a healthy take on the popular frozen daiquiri and it tastes amazing!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chopped watermelon
  • 1/4 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen is fine)
  • 4-6 cubes of ice
  • 1 Tsp. Maple syrup

Method:

  1. Blend ice, water melon, raspberries and maple syrup in a blender until they become puree.
  2. Pour into a tall glass or daiquiri glass, and garnish with a berry or slice of watermelon.
  3. Enjoy!

Pink Pineapple Paradise

This delicious, alcohol-free twist on a pina colada recipe is both surprising and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 Cup Greek yogurt
  • 3 cherries, seeds removed
  • 1 Tbsp. Unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. Light coconut cream
  • 4-6 Ice cubes
  • 1 Tsp. Maple syrup (optional)

Method:

  1. Combine ice, pineapple, and cherries in a blender with the coconut flakes and blend until well combined.
  2. Add the Greek yogurt, coconut cream and maple syrup, and pulse blend until combined.
  3. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with a cherry on top
  4. Enjoy!
